Hi Everyone and Happy Holidays!

A few weeks ago I sent out a note about our club's future and asked for everyone's quick input via the poll on our homepage. The results: 29 out of 127 had an opinion to voice. Of those 29...
13% thought we should keep the offroad rides
10% thought we should keep dualsport rides
10% thought we should keep road rides
27% thought we should keep everything going
1 person offered to help with planning and leading offroad rides
1 person offered to help with planning and leading dualsport rides
1 person offered to help with planning and leading road rides
1 person said they'd help with anything.
23% thought the club should just be abandoned, for whatever reason.
Well, we'll keep it going. I'm just going to change two things:
As soon as I get this up and operating, I'll let everyone know. I think it'll serve the purpose of this club much better than the way it works now. To give you an idea of what it'll be similar to, see http://www.crashclub.net/

Rides Going On
Onroad: Art, our latest joiner and experienced racer, is looking for interested people in a ride to Mount Palomar in a couple weekends. He's also looking for riders interested in a Willow Springs group track day late January / early February. Those interested in either can reach him at douglasmoto@aol.com or by using our site's message board.

Also, Mike shared this on the message board about Willow Springs on Dec 16:
12-16-03 is our last scheduled track day for MTC. Big track, $75. That's right folks, only $75 to ride the big track at WSIR with MTC on 12-16.
Hope to see ya there,  Mike

Offroad & Dualsport: Nothing currently planned, that I'm aware of.

Cycle World Motorcycle Show in Long Beach
Long Beach Convention Center December 12-14
This year's show features new 2004 vehicle lineups from 12 major tour-wide OEMs, including: Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha. As always, an onslaught of the hottest sportbikes, cruisers, scooters, dualsport machines, off-road bikes, motocross and 4-wheel ATVs will be represented. Be the first of your friends to see all the 2004 models under one roof! For up-to-date show information, visit: www.motorcycleshows.com

You'll find some of our own club members staffing the Ride To Work Day booth!
One of the days, I'll probably be there a little while with promo flyers for our club.

A Fallen Brother Needs Your Help
The below info was extracted from a thumpertalk.com newsletter, brought to my attention by my wife.
Odds are, none of us know him, but those that have been down on a bike seriously can certainly feel for him.
His friends have just posted shirts and hats for sale, to support his recovery and his family's situation.

James Hillin is a fellow thumper pilot that was recently paralyze in a racing accident, riding the Parts Unlimited Dealers Challenge in Houston Texas. Recovery is going to be extremely expensive and the Hillin family really, really needs your help. Please take a few minutes to check out his benefit site and do what you can financially. Also, don’t forget to sign James’s guest book. He needs moral support as well.

Ever thought dualsporting on a 47 Panhead would be a good idea?
I've never seen photos of offroading quite like this: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=29723
