Hi All!
To those of you that have been emailing me in the last couple weeks
- sorry I haven't replied. Just been very busy.
Well, last weekend, a small group of us had a great-weather street ride through Ortega and lunchin in Dana Point Harbor. No pics to share though. Lefo's friend Wilson discovered an after-lunch flat. It luckily held a simple reinflation all the way back though.

Paco - you still want to plan Lytle Creek to Boldy Mesa Feb 16? (If you didn't already do this ride today)
By the way, someone posted the Adelanto Grand Prix on our events page. I don't know much about it, but it sounds like a great day if you're an offroad racer or just want to watch.
From a Dec 5 post from Stu:
Death Valley there is an organized ride in Feb: http://www.district37ama.org/dualsport/ridefliers/dvrallyboth.pdf
| Who: | Everyone on a street-legal dualsport! |
| What: | Roll-chart guided DUALSPORT ride through
San Bernardino forestry around Glen Helen.
- Free pancake breakfast! - The roll-charted ride is approximately 90 miles. |
| Where: | The ride starts and ends at Glen Helen Raceway.
If you'd like to caravan-ride there fully-geared on your bike, I'll be at Coffeetown at 7 a.m. We'll take off by 7:20 a.m. CoffeeTown info: 1511 Rimpau Ave. (cross street: Magnolia), Corona. 909-280-0500. Map HERE. |
| When: | Sunday, March 16, 2003
Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 8:30 a.m. |
| Other: | Roll chart holder
- you'll need one. I know Chaparral
carries them.
If you've never used a roll chart before, don't worry, it's easy. I'll show you when we get there. If you don't have a tripmeter or odometer, your roll chart will be difficult to use. Stick with the group of us or at least with somebody that has one. The route also has all turns ribbon-tagged to help you out. Note: There may be a sound check at this
event. If you've got a loud pipe, I wouldn't suggest coming with it.
For those completely new to dualsporting events, I'll do something in the March newsletter to help you get started - how to prepare, what to expect, etc. I remember quite well being intimidated to join the first one. There's really no reason to be. |
Tip From Ken Z - When you sign up for the ride, be sure to put Corona Riders as your sponsoring club. They will announce how much cumulative $$ we contribute. The PR couldn't hurt.
